The village of Benarraba is situated in the province of Málaga in a region known as the Serrania de Ronda.
The village, with an approximate population of 800, has been the historic guardian of the River Genal valley and nestles into the side of the mountain at an altitude of 522 metres.
The village is situated about 3 km. below the main A-369 (Ronda to Algeciras) road, between the villages of Gaucín and Algatocín.
